Should I bring my puppy to day care?

We highly recommend bringing your puppy to day care to continue their socialization. Whether you work, or stay home , its fun for your puppy to play with other dogs and be accustomed to different surroundings. We have many puppies that return back to us for day care and boarding, and they feel like its their home away from home. They were born here!

How do I know my puppy is healthy?

Your puppy will be examined by our vet, and we take pride in our blood line and take health seriously. We recommend to develop a relationship with a vet of your choice to ensure the continuing health of your new puppy.

What do I need to take care of my puppy?

You will need a crate, a bowl for food, a bowl for water (not plastic) a collar and leash. A harness can be an optional additional tool.

Will my puppy be vaccinated?

Your puppy will be de-wormed as well as vaccinated for Distemper and Parvo . Details are given to each new puppy owner.

What do I feed my puppy?

Your puppy needs to be fed three times a day to start. We give you intstructions depending on the breed and exact age. All puppies need to be fed routinely and as close to schedule as possible.

Will my puppy be socialized?

By 3 weeks old, we have already introduced your puppy to a variety of things. They will be handled from an early age to make them very comftorable with people, children, strangers and other dogs. By the time you pick your puppy up to take home he or she will be ready for anyone or anything!

Will my puppy be trained already?

We will have already started the training process for you, laying down the frame work for success. Depending on how young you take your puppies home will determine the maturity of their training. All puppies, even the youngest will be  paper and crate trained. You will be given instructions and recommendations on the basics of training for your puppy. We are always here to help and offer private training sessions.

Will my puppy be good with children?

Labradors, Whippets and Brussels Griffons are all very friendly and playful breeds. Children playing with puppies should always be supervised for both of their safeties!

How often can I bathe my puppy?

Bathe your puppy when you feel they need it! Just make sure to use a very mild puppy shampoo or baby shampoo.

Can my puppy get along with my cat?

Introduction to a puppies new feline friend needs to be done under strict supervision! Injuries to the eyes by a cats claw can be serious, so watch them closely until they fully accept each other in their new co-habitation.

Do I have to put my puppy in the crate?

Absolutely! The crate is the puppies best friend. They consider it their den and will find comfort sleeping, eating, and resting there. It is a safe zone and a great housebreaking tool.

How long does it take to housebreak my puppy?

Every puppy is different, but if you follow the proper protocols given to you, we assure you it won't take more than a few weeks!

Are Whippets or Labradors easy to train?

Whippets and Labradors are very smart, and can be trained to do almost anything if given the proper, dedicated training.

Can my puppy play with other dogs?

All puppie love to play, but must be supervised! Even the kindest and most loving dog can accidentally injure your puppy if left alone.
